About Dr. Becky Cyr DPT, FAAOMPT

Becky is a dedicated physical therapist with a passion for helping individuals lead active, healthy lives. After earning her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Human Development from the University of Connecticut in 2011, she experienced physical therapy firsthand during her own recovery, which ultimately inspired her to pursue a career in the field. This eye-opening experience led her to return to UConn, where she completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2016.

Growing up in an outdoorsy, active environment, she was always involved in sports such as soccer, snowboarding, biking, and hiking, which instilled in her a lifelong love for movement and fitness. This personal connection to physical activity has fueled her commitment to helping others regain mobility, overcome pain, and achieve their goals.

In 2021, Becky completed a fellowship with the Manual Therapy Institute, earning the Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (FAAOMPT) credential, a distinction held by just 1% of physical therapists. This has been a complete game-changer in her treatment and has significantly enhanced her ability to treat complex cases and provide individuals with the highest level of care. She also holds certifications in concussion management, vestibular rehabilitation, and dry needling.

As a triathlete, Becky has completed two full Ironmans and several half Ironmans, bringing a personal understanding of the physical demands of endurance sports. She is passionate about empowering her patients to stay active, overcome obstacles, and achieve things they never thought possible while staying injury-free and healthy.
